George P. Vaughn is the President of RVK Architects in San Antonio, Texas. RVK is a 60-person firm of architects, interior designers and landscape architects. It is a family-oriented, values-based company which embodies its legacy of passionately serving clients. George started with the firm shortly after graduating from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Architecture with Honors.
He subsequently became a registered Architect in the State of Texas and attended the Harvard Graduate School of Design. He became a Principal of the firm in 1976 and was appointed President in 2005. He is currently a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), Texas Society of Architects, San Antonio Chapter of AIA, National Council of Architectural Registration Board, and a LEED Accredited Professional with the US Green Building Council.
His highly successful career has spanned over 45 years with RVK and has included the planning, programming, design and management of a multitude of projects, including corporate headquarters for Fortune 500 companies, educational, medical, religious and commercial development. His career has included numerous design awards for a variety of projects. He leads the firm in Business Development where his integrity and natural ability to establish and maintain relationships directly contributes to the firm’s success.
